We have a dedicated sperm donation team here at BCRM, led by Senior Andrologist, Karla Turner, and we will provide you with all the information you need to help you make the decision to become a Sperm Donor .

Who Can Donate?
To donate your sperm, you need to meet the following criteria:
- Be between 18 and 45 years old.
- Have a normal semen analysis.
- Be in good health with no serious inherited medical conditions
- Be able to attend a few clinic appointments at BCRM in Bristol

Sperm Donation Process: 10 Steps to Sperm Donation
If you are considering donating your sperm, you may find this step by step guide to the process helpful.
1. Enquiry
Make an enquiry by emailing spermdonors@BCRM.clinic or calling the laboratory office on 0117 259 1159
2. Questionnaire
Read “How to become a sperm donor” information sheet, complete the questionnaire provided by the team and return it to us
3. Telephone Consultation
Have a telephone consultation with a member of the team to discuss the process
4. Sperm Test
Attend clinic for a semen analysis and receive a follow up call
5. Donor Appointment
If accepted, attend BCRM to have screening performed, speak to one of our counsellors, complete the relevant legal forms and have a review with one of our doctors.
6. Donation
Once screening results are back and you have been accepted as a donor, you will attend BCRM to donate weekly over a 6-12 month period
7. Expenses
Receive a £45 expenses payment per donation
8. Rescreening
You will be rescreened every 3 months during your donation period
9. Final Appointment
Visit us one more time for your final screening tests
10. Outcomes
Contact us annually (if desired) to check if your donations have successfully resulted in pregnancy or live births.
