Do we need to do anything before we attend BCRM?
To ensure we have all the necessary information available to offer a full diagnosis and the best advice, you will need to undergo some tests a minimum of 3 days before your consultation. We will arrange these with you, and all fertility tests are included in the price.

Female fertility blood tests include:

- Chlamydia: Helps us assess the risk of previous infection which may result in tubes being blocked or affected by scar tissue
- FBC: Full blood count: checks for anaemia and infection, gives us a idea of your general wellbeing
- TSH: Thyroid stimulating hormone: helps us make sure your thyroid gland is not over or under active
Rubella: It helps to know that you are immune to rubella infection which can be potentially harmful to an unborn baby
- FSH / LH: Follicle Stimulating Hormone / Luteinising Hormone: can also be requested as part of the above set for an additional cost. This can help determine if you are likely to be ovulating each month. For the most accurate results these blood tests should be taken between days 2-5 of your menstrual cycle.
